Women's Golf Fourth After Day One

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Penn women's golf team sits in fourth place witha score of 321, fourteen strokes off the pace, after play on the first day of the Yale Fall Intercollegiate tournament in New Haven, Conn. Sophomore Meredith Kotowski leads the Quakers with a first-round score of 76, good for a tie for fourth place individually.

Sophomore Lisette Vitter finished with a 79, good for a tie for 15th. Sophomore Catherine Elliott shot an 81 to place her in a tie for 25th place, while senior Meg Bender rounds out the Penn team with an 85.

The Quakers resume play Sunday as they look to mount a charge towards the top of the Yale Fall Intercollegiate standings.
