Women's Golf in Fourth after Day 1 of the Ivy League Championships

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.—The Penn women’s golf team stroked its way to several successful rounds on Day 1 of the Ivy League Championships to finish in fourth place after two rounds of play.

The third and final round will take place Sunday starting at 8:00 a.m.

The Quakers shot a collective 615 on the day and are 19 strokes back from third-place Columbia.

Harvard is currently leading the pack with a 585, while Princeton is in second with a 595.

Sophomore Lisette Vitter notched the best round for the Quakers of the day.

Vitter carded a 152 and is eight over par after shooting a 75 in Round 1 and a 77 in Round 2 to tie for eighth place.

Sophomores Catherine Elliott and Meredith Kotowski are tied for 12th after the first day, both shooting a 78 in Round 1 and a 76 in Round 2 for a total of 154 (10 over par).

Senior Meg Bender is currently in a tie for 14th place after carding a 155.

Bender is the first to tee off for the Quakers for the third and final round on Sunday at 8:00 a.m.
