Women's Golf Readies For Ivy Championships

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women’s golf team is ready to tee it up at the Ivy League Championships this weekend. The 54-hole event begins Friday and continues through Sunday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley CC in Bethlehem, Pa.

Penn is looking to win its second Ivy League title; the first came in 2010.

Penn’s lineup for this event will feature senior Amanda Chin; sophomores Isabella Rahm, Sophia Chen and Erin Lo; and freshman Michelle Yom. All but Yom competed in last year’s Championships, when the Quakers finished in fifth place.

“We are excited to head to Saucon Valley this week to compete in the Ivy League Championships,” said head coach Mark Anderson. “The team has been practicing hard, and we are looking for a strong finish as a team this weekend. We have some individuals that are certainly capable of finishing at the top of the leaderboard as well. Amanda is our senior captain and will be competing in her final Ivy League Championships; I would love to see her end her career on a high note.”
