PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team took fourth out of 17 teams at the Rutgers Invitational, which took place Friday and Saturday at the Rutgers University Golf Course.
Penn shot 321-316--637 which put the Quakersbehind only LIU-Brooklyn (608), host Rutgers (609), and Saint Francis, Pa. (620). The only other Ivy League team in the field, Dartmouth, shot 651 and tied for 13th.
Freshman Michelle Yom was Penn's low scorer on both Friday and Saturday, shooting 75-77--152 overall to finish tied for sixth in a field of 90 golfers. Erin Lo (81-79--160) was second among Penn players, t-26th overall, while Sophia Chen (83-80--163) was third among Penn players and t-41st overall.
Isabella Rahm (85-80--165) scored on Saturday for the Quakers and tied for 49th overall, while Marissa Kay (82-84--166) scored for Penn on Friday and tied for 53rd overall.
Anna Kim (St. John's) and Cristina Felip (LIU-Brooklyn) shared medalist honors, as both shot 2-over-par 144 for the tournament.
Penn will be back in action next Saturday and Sunday at the Princeton Invitational, a 36-hole event.
