PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – The University of Pennsylvania women’s golf team finished second to Princeton at the Brown Bears Match Play event, which concluded Sunday. Overall, the Quakers had 10 wins, three losses and a tie at Carnegie Abbey Golf Club over the weekend.

The Quakers rolled on Saturday, defeating Dartmouth 7-1 as they swept all seven matches in which they played. They then tied Princeton across seven matches on Sunday, winning three, losing three and halving the seventh. The Tigers gained the win by taking a forfeit on the eighth match, as Penn played this weekend without two of its players (Isabella Rahm and Erin Lo).

The Penn women will now prepare for the Ivy League Championships, a 54-hole event that will take place next Friday, Saturday and Sunday at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Conn.
