Women's Golf Takes Third at Delaware Invitational

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The University of Pennsylvania women’s golf team finished the fall portion of its 2015-16 season on Sunday, finishing third out of 13 teams at the University of Delaware Invitational. The 54-hole event ran this weekend at the par-72 Rehoboth Beach (Del.) Country Club.

The Quakers shot 304-306-312—922 for the weekend, which left them 24 over par. The other Ivy League team in the field, Harvard, won the team title with a three-round 903, while the host Blue Hens were second at 915. Rollins College finished fourth, behind the Quakers, at 923.

Individually, Isabella Rahm was Penn’s low scorer on the weekend; she shot 75-73-79--227 to finish eighth in a field of 72 golfers. Junior Marissa Kay tied for 12th overall, shooting 74-79-77--230 for the weekend, while classmate Erin Lo carded 80-76-77--233 to tie for 19th overall. Both Kay and Lo tied for low round in the lineup on Sunday.

Freshman Rachel Dai (75-78-82—235) finished 24th overall, while Tiffany Yau (81-83-79—243) tied for 38th. Janet Zhang played the tournament as an individual, and had the low round by any player on Sunday (76) and tied for 48th overall (87-83-76--246).

A pair of Harvard players were at the top of the leaderboard, as Lito Guo (219) finished two strokes ahead of Annie Cheng (221) to earn medalist honors.
