Women's Golf Third After Day One at Brown

BARRINGTON, R.I. - The Penn women's golf team is third out of nine teams after the first day at the Brown Invitational. The Quakers shot 320 in Sunday's first round and are second among four Ivy League teams in the field.

St. John's leads the event; the Red Storm shot 304 on Sunday and are 10 shots ahead of host Brown. Penn is third, six shots behind the Bears, while Dartmouth is fourth (326) and Yale is fifth (329).

Individually, freshman Amanda Chin is tied for third in a 58-player field after shooting at 75 on Sunday. Junior Isabel Han is tied for fifth after carding a 77, while Tiffany Cheung shot 82 and is tied for 19th. Olivia Chang is tied for 32nd after carding an 86, while Libby Hooton is tied for 43rd after shooting a 91.

Princeton's Kelly Shon shot a 71 on Sunday and is one shot ahead of Harin Lee (St. John's) for the individual lead.

The Brown Invitational, which is being held at the Rhode Island Country Club, will conclude on Monday.
