ROAR-EE Invitational First Day Results (PDF)
SUFFERN, N.Y. - The Penn women's golf team is tied for third after the first day of the ROAR-EE Invitational, being hosted by Columbia at Spook Rock Golf Course.
The Quakers shot 313 in Friday's first round and are tied with Fairleigh Dickinson. Princeton is in the team lead with after shooting 302, while Harvard shot 309 and is in second. The teams will conclude tournament play Saturday with 18 more holes.
For Penn, junior Lisette Vitter was Friday's low scorer as she carded a 76; that puts her in a tie for sixth overall. Freshman Tiffany Cheung was one shot behind, at 77, which putsher in a tie for 10th overall. Junior Meredith Kotowski(79) is tied for 18th, while classmate Catherine Elliott (81) is tied for 30th. Freshman Elizabeth Pettie (89) rounded out Penn's contingent for the day.
Fairleigh Dickinson's Eva Mayr is the individual leader after Friday's action, as she shot a 1-under par 71 to finish one shot ahead of Columbia's Robin Lee.
