The Quakers clinched a fourth-straight automatic bid to the national tournament with a 9-8 win over No. 12 Dartmouth in the first-ever Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Tournament last weekend. The Red and Blue will be making their sixth appearance in the NCAA Championships in 2010, and are 8-5 all-time in the national championships.
Seven of those wins have come in the past three trips, all of which resulted in berths in the Final Four. In 2007, the Quakers made the program's first trip to the national semifinals - which were held at Franklin Field. In 2008, the Red and Blue did one better, winning three games to advance to the NCAA Championship Game for the first time in school history. Last season, the Quakers again won a pair of games to claim a spot in the Final Four before falling to five-time NCAA champion Northwester, 12-12 in double overtime.
First round games will be held at campus sites of the top eight seeds the weekend of May 15-16. The national semifinals and finals will take place May 28 and 30 at Johnny Unitas Stadium on the campus of Towson University in Maryland.
