Members of the women’s lacrosse team were invited to the Wachovia Center to help the Philadelphia Wings celebrate their Women in Lacrosse Appreciation Day. The National Lacrosse League team hosted several middle school and high school aged girls teamson March 28, for a question and answer session with the team. The Quakers shared stories of how lacrosse influenced their lives and what it takes to compete at the Division I level.
Later, the team was introduced on the field in a pre-game ceremony in front of 11,876 Wings fans. The players received a boisterous round of applause for their accomplishments over the past two seasons, including their No. 2 national ranking, nation’s-leading defense and undefeated record.
The Quakers are looking for another win toward their third consecutive Ivy League title with a trip to Harvard Saturday. Thegame is set for noon.
