Women's Lacrosse Ranked No. 13 in Final IWLCA Poll

PHILADELPHIA --The final IWLCA Division I Poll of 2015 was released on Tuesday, and the University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team closed out the 2015 campaign ranked No. 13 in the country.

The Quakers went 14-5 during the 2015 season, the fifth-most wins in a season in school history. Penn advanced to its ninth-consecutive NCAA Championship tournament -- the sixth-longest active streak of national tournament appearances in the country. Penn's win over Albany in the first round sent the Quakers on to the second round for the second season in a row.

Of Penn's five losses during the 2015 season, each came at the hands of a team ranked inside the Top-10 at the conclusion of the season -- including national champion Maryland and national semifinalist Syracuse who ended the season ranked No. 3.

Penn will return 11 letterwinners for 2016, including four of its top five scorers and six players who started 17 or more games during the 2015 season.
