Women's Lacrosse Sends Three to North-South Game

PHILADELPHIA - While their competitive playing careers at Penn may have ended in the NCAA Championships in late May, three Penn women's lacrosse players who helped establish the Red and Blue as one of the nation's elite programs will officially conclude their collegiate run in the 2010 Division I North-South Game this weekend.

Ali DeLuca, Barb Seaman and Kaileigh Wright - who graduated from Penn in May - will compete for the North side on Saturday, June 12 at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa. The game takes place as part of Champions Cup weekend and runs in conjunction with the IWLCA All-America banquet. DeLuca will be pulling double duty this weekend, playing in the North-South Game and attending the All-America banquet for the third time. She will be joined at the All-America banquet by teammates Erin Brennan and Emma Spiro.

DeLuca, Seaman and Wright are three of four players from the Ivy League selected for the game. The three Quakers suiting up tie the Red and Blue with Boston University and North Carolina for most players from one school selected for the game.
