Women's Rowing Competes at Head of the Charles

BOSTON, Mass. - The Penn women's rowing team sent a boat into the Women's Championship Eights Sunday at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta, and the Quakers finished 17th out of 38 boats in the event.

Penn clocked 17:10.432 over the three-mile course, which put the women squarely in the middle ofan international field. The London (England) Training Center had the top time in the event, at 16:02.507 which was well ahead of the rest of the field. Yale (16:25.331) had the top time among American colleges.

The Penn women will be back in action next Saturday, competing in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia.
