Women's Rowing Completes Fall at Rivanna Romp

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The University of Pennsylvania women's rowing team completed the fall portion of its season on Sunday at the University of Virginia's Rivanna Romp.

In the varsity 8+ division, Penn's A boat took fifth out of 13 boats with a time of 13 minutes, 58 seconds on the 3,000-meter course. Virginia's A boat took first, in 13:19, followed by Columbia (13:28), Virginia B (13:47) and Louisville (13:48). Penn's B boat was eighth, in 14:32.

In the novice 8+, Penn took second out of five boats in 15:05, behind only Virginia's A (14:40).

In the fours, Penn ran three boats. The B boat was the Quakers' highest finisher in the 18-boat division, taking eighth in 15:40, while the A boat was ninth in 15:57 and the C boat was 16th in 16:40.
