Women's Rowing Finds Success at Head of the Charles

BOSTON - The University of Pennsylvania women's rowing team competed in two events at the Head of the Charles on Sunday, coming in fourth in the YouthEights and 30th in the Championship Eights.

The YouthEights finished the course in 19:50.741, good for fourth out of 57 boats. They finished behind Yale, Brown and Princeton. In the day's final race, the Championships Eights placed 30th among 47 crews in a time of 18:18.751.

"The Youth Eight did a terrific job today byfinishing in thetop four, and more importantly, top four among Ivy League competitors," said Head Coach Barb Kirch Grudt.

Penn returns home for the Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday.
