Women's Rowing Finishes Fall Season With Rivanna Romp

Directions to UVA Boathouse

PHILADELPHIA - The Penn women's rowing team will complete the fall portion of its 2009-10 schedule this weekend, competing at the University of Virginia's Rivanna Romp which will take place Sunday.

Penn will run two boats in the varsity eight races, one in the novice eight, and then four in the college fours.

"This is our final chance this fall to continue building on what we started working towards starting at the end of last year," said head coach Mike Lane. "Summer workouts and fall standards have helped push our athletes to a higher standard."

"We are hoping to improve on our eighth-place finish at the Princeton Chase, which was our best finish in more than 10 years! We also get a second opportunity to race Virginia, which is something we will not take lightly."
