Women's Rowing Finishes Up at Clemson Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. -The University of Pennsylvania women’s rowing team has finished racing at the Clemson Invitational. The two-day, in which every boat got three races, concluded Sunday morning.

In Sunday’s action, the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 both had fifth-place finishes, the V8 clocking 6:52.4 and the 2V8 timed in 7:05.1. the Varsity 4 and Second Varsity 4 were both sixth in their races, the V4 covering the course in 8:05.9 and the 2V4 clocking 7:53.5.

Penn returns home with the Class of ’89 Plaque for just the third time in history after defeating Cornell in the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 races on Saturday morning.

Penn concludes its Cup season next Saturday at Princeton, facing the host Tigers and Dartmouth for the Class of 1984 Award Plaque. Bucknell will also be a part of the day’s races.
