Women's Rowing Finishes Up at Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. - the University of Pennsylvania women's rowing team finished up at the Princeton Chase, which took place Sunday on Lake Carnegie. The Quakers had six boats compete in the event -- four Eights in the Varsity + Final, one in the Varsity 4+ Final, and one in the Novice 8+ Final.

The Varsity 8+ Final featured 65 boats, and Penn's best finish in that division came from its A boat which clocked 15:39.675 over the three-mile course to place 16th overall. The Quakers' B boat was 34th in 16:07.541; the C boat clocked 16:39.198; and Penn's D boat timed in at 17:51.412.

In the Varsity 4+ Final division, made up of 30 boats, Penn finished 11th overall in a time of 18:05.161. In the Novice 8+ Final division, which featured 16 boats, Penn was sixth in 17:34.990.

Penn will conclude the fall portion of its season in two weeks, when it competes in the University of Virginia's annual Rivanna Romp.
