Women's Rowing Puts Forth Solid Effort at the Head of the Charles

BOSTON – The University of Pennsylvania women’s rowing team had a successful showing at the 42nd Head of the Charles, the largest head race in world. Although the Quakers raced only two boats both did very well.

The college eight finished 10th out of 57 teams at 17:50.267. Thecollege eight placed 17th out of 45. They came in at 16:50.105 and finished ahead of Ivy League opponents Cornell and Princeton.

Next weekend the Red and Blue will have a busy weekend. Saturday, Penn races at the Head of the Schuylkill, then the Princeton Chase Sunday.
