PRINCETON, N.J. In their final race of the fall season, the University of Pennsylvania women’s rowing team raced three freshman boats in the open eight Sunday at the Belly of the Carnegie.
Penn was one of three schools to race three boats. The Quakers top two crews came in 10th and 11th respectively clocking in at 16:20.59 and 16:28.11. The Red and Blue’s third boat came in 21st at 17:50.82.
Overall, Penn came in second in the Belly of the Carnegie Point Trophy. Of 10 schools that raced two boats in each men’s heavyweight, lightweight and women’s, the Quakers had a composite time of 1:31:11.04. The Red and Blue finished just threeminutes behind first-place Cornell.
