BOSTON – The University of Pennsylvania women’s rowing team raced three boats at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta, which concluded Sunday afternoon.
In Sunday’s Championship Eights division, Penn finished 18th in a division of 32 boats. The Quakers clocked 17:10.119 over the three-mile Charles River course. The division was won by California, with Brown a distant second.
On Saturday, Penn sent out boats in the Women’s Club Eights and the Women’s Club Fours. In the Eights, Penn’s boat was eighth in a division of 38 boats as the Quakers covered the three-mile course in 17:42.427. In the Fours, Penn finished 20th among 63 boats in the division in a time of 20:27.202.
Penn will be back in action next Saturday, competing in the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia.
