Women's Soccer Announces Incoming Class

PHILADELPHIA - University of Pennsylvania Women's Soccer Coach Darren Ambrose has announced the incoming class for his program. The Quakers' Class of 2010includes11 women, highlighted by the 2005 New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year and several others who have national-team pool experience, conference player of the year accolades, and Olympic Development Program exposure at every level.

"This freshman class is very talented and very athletic," said Ambrose, who enters his seventh season with the Quakers. "It is certainly one of the deepest classes we have brought to Penn. We have many attacking options in the group, as we knew that part of the squad would need a boost with us graduating Jenna Linden and Carolyn Cross this year and after graduating Katy Cross, Rachelle Snyder and Devon Sibole a year earlier. The right to be between the posts will be a great competitionfor our two new goalkeepers, Cailly Carroll and Sara Rose. Both have the ability to really push each other."
