PHILADELPHIA- The University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team earned a second-straight 4-0 victory on Sunday at Penn Park, this time over Mount St. Mary's. The Quakers improved to 2-0-0 on the young season.

For the second time in as many matches, four different players scored for Penn -- Brianna Rano, Elissa Berdini, Megan York and Tahirih Nesmith.

Penn was on MSM (1-5-0) from the start on Sunday, and needed less than 12 minutes to gain a lead it would not relinquish. Lindsey Sawczuk set up the Quakers' first goal, pushing a beautiful ball through the Mountaineer defense that Rano ran onto. She got to the ball just ahead of MSM goalkeeper Vicky Cocozza and pushed it past her inside the right post.

Two goals just 1:22 apart late in the first half ended any doubt on this match. The first came on another fine through-ball, this one from York, that Berdini slammed past Cocozza and just inside the right post. Shortly after that, York was on the finishing end as she headed home a ball right in front. Caroline Dwyer and Erin Mikolai assisted on the goal.

Penn kept the pressure on in the second half, and closed out the scoring in the 67th minute when Rano's free kick was headed home by Nesmith. It was Nesmith's second goal in as many collegiate matches.

Penn outshot Mount St. Mary's, 22-3, and again split the goalkeeping duties between Katherine Myhre and Kalijah Terilli. Terilli had the only save in the Quaker goal.

Penn is back in action twice next weekend. The Quakers will host Drexel on Friday evening, most likely at Penn Park, before traveling to Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
