TOWSON, Md. – The University of Pennsylvania women’s soccer team went the distance for the second time in three days, playing 110 minutes of soccer without settling things. This time the Quakers drew with Towson, 0-0.
Penn moves to 4-1-2 on the season; the Tigers, who entered the match unbeaten in seven matches, are now 6-2-2.
Penn outshot Towson 13-10, led by Paige Lombard, Erica Higa and Kristen Miller who had two shots each. Carrie Crook went the distance in goal and made three saves for her second shutout this season. At the other end, Taylor Sebolao had four stops and the Tigers were also credited with two team saves.
Penn is back in action next Saturday, opening Ivy League play at defending champion Harvard. Kickoff in Cambridge is scheduled for 4 p.m.
