PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania women’s soccer team willteam upwith the other five Division I programs in the city region to once again put on the annual City 6 Soccer Girls’ Clinic. Players and coaches from Penn, Drexel, La Salle, Saint Joseph’s, Temple and Villanova will be involved in the clinic.
This year’s clinic will take place Sunday, April 4 at Finnessey Field on the campus of Saint Joseph’s University from 1-2:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 12:30. It is open to girls aged 6 to 17, and all skill levels are welcome. Prior to the clinic, some of the City 6 teams will be playing each other in spring games that are open to the public.
The City 6 Soccer programs are asking that, instead of an entry fee, clinic participants make a $25 donation. That donation will be given to the John Pawlowski Family Memorial Trust Fund; the late Philadelphia police officer’s wife, Kimmy Pawlowski, played soccer at Saint Joseph’s.
Clinic participants should bring cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle.
