Women's Squash Announces Class of 2013

PHILADELPHIA University of Pennsylvania women’s squash head coach Jack Wyant has announced his incoming class for the 2009-10 season. The program’s Class of 2013 will include five recruited student-athletes.

“The class of 2013 is one of the deepest classes and most talented in the history of Penn women's squash,” said Wyant. “This class is geographically diverse, representing the East Coast, West Coast, Midwest and Southeast Asia. I expect this young group will live up to the hype by dedicating themselves to constant improvement and putting the teams’ interests above their own.”

The squash program’s Class of 2013 hails from five different locations, including three different states, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

The five incoming student-athletes will join six returning letterwinners, including Kristen Lange and Sydney Scott who received first-team All-America and All-Ivy honors last season. Lange was also named Ivy League Player of the Year after going undefeated in Ivy play. The Red and Blue finished the 2008-09 season 10-4, including 5-2 in the Ancient Eight, and ended the season ranked fourth in the nation.
