NEW HAVEN, Conn. -The Penn women's squash team wrapped up their weekend with a 9-0 victory over Bowdoin Sunday. The match was the team's third in about 24 hours, yet the Quakers dominated in all three.
No. 9 Emily Goodwin, No. 6 Annie Madeira and No. 3 Alisha Turner got the team off to a 3-0 start early. Goodwin, who swept her last opponent yesterday 9-0, 9-0, 9-0, nearly did it again. She had to settle for a 9-0, 9-0, 9-1 win.
Lauralynn Drury, Tara Chawla and Kristen Lange won at Nos. 8, 5 and 2, respectively, to clinch the match for Penn. No. 7 Christina Matthias, No. 4 Britt Hebden and No. 1 Sydney Scott also earned victories to complete the 9-0 sweep.
Penn is next in action on Saturday when they travel to Hartford, Conn. to take on Trinity.
