Women's Squash Competes at Individuals

Hanover, N.H. -- The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team competed at the College Squash Association Individual Championships at Dartmouth on Friday.

In the first round of play, Radhika Ahluwalia fell to Lauren Polonich of Trinity, 3-1 (9-3, 5-9, 9-1, 9-2). Caitlin Russel fell to No. 4 seed Amy Gross of Yale, 3-0 (9-4, 9-7, 9-2) and Lauralynn Drury fell to No. 2 seed Kyla Grigg of Harvard, 3-0 (9-7, 9-4, 9-0).

Paula Pearson was the lone Quaker to advance past the first round of competition. Pearson defeated Lena Neufeld of Princeton, 3-0 (9-2, 9-2, 9-3) to advance to the round of 16. She was then defeated by fourth-seeded Gross, 3-0 (9-2, 9-3, 9-4).

All four Quakers competed in the Ramsay Flight of the tournament.
