Women's Squash Cruises Past Williams

PHILADELPHIA – The third-ranked University of Pennsylvania women’s squash team overpowered Williams College 9-0, to openits season Saturday afternoon at Ringe Courts.

The Quakers (1-0) did not drop a game to Williams in the match, and extend their winning streak to 15 straight against the Ephs. Penn is now 23-9 overall against Williams and has not lost to the Ephs since Jan. 20, 2002. Leading the way for the Red and Blue were sophomores Yan Xin Tan and Haidi Lala, along with senior Courtney Jones.

The Penn women have a quick turnaround, taking on No. 7 Stanford and No. 14 George Washington Sunday at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., before taking a break in the early part of the winter.
