Philadelphia,Pa.- The No. 5 University of Pennsylvania women's squash team fell to No. 4 Harvard, 8-1, on Saturday in a tough battle in the Ringe Squash Courts.
"The team played well despite the outcome," said Head Coach Jack Wyant. "We had a plan going into the match and the team stuck to that plan and performed well."
The Quakers (4-3, 2-3 Ivy) earned their sole point of the day at the No. 7 position when Chloe Wynne defeated Allison Fast, 3-2. The Crimson (6-0, 4-0 Ivy) swept the other eight matches in scores of 3-0.
"We have a young team," said Wyant of his lineup, which includes three freshmen and foursophomores. "They gained valuable Ivy League experience today."
The Quakers next return to the court on Sunday, Feb. 6 when they close out the weekend by hosting Dartmouth at 11 a.m. in the Ringe Squash Courts.
