Women's Squash Finishes Season Sixth in Nation

Princeton, N.J. - The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team fell to Dartmouth, 7-2, in the final of the consolation round at the Howe Cup. With the loss, the Quakers finished the season sixth in the country.

The Quakers (5-7, 2-4 Ivy), the No. 6 seed entering the tournament,had wins at the No. 4 and No. 6 positions. Lauralynn Drury defeated her opponent at No. 4, 3-0, and Annie Barrett won, 3-2, at the sixth position. Three other Quakers earned points in their losses.

"Dartmouth came out and played better," said Head Coach Jack Wyant. "The match was a little closer than the score indicated."

The Quakers return to the court on Friday, March 4, when the team competes in the Individual Championships in Hanover, N.H. The event runs through Sunday, March 6.
