Women's Squash Gains Three Wins at Stanford Round Robin

PALO ALTO, CALIF. - Returning from the Stanford Round Robin with three victories and playing in front of Stanford's largest crowd of the season, Penn women's squash has proven that with the right mind set home court advantage means nothing. With the 9-0 wins over No. 6 Stanford, Wesleyan University, and Connecticut Collegein Palo Alto, Calif. Saturday afternoon, theQuakers remain undefeated (7-0, 3-0)this season.

"The California trip was successful on all fronts," said Coach Jack Wyant. "The team played very well against Stanford. They had an energized crowd behind them but our team was focused and got the job done."

To warm themselves up for Saturday's action, Penn took advantage of the opportunity to compete against a couple of the oldest and most well known squash clubs in the country. On Thursday, the Quakers went up against the University Club of San Francisco and the Olympic Club on Friday, winning 5-4.

"Having an opportunity to visit the Bay Area and see things like Alcatraz made this a road trip to remember," said Wyant. It seems as though the Red and Blue made the most of its West Coast business trip.

Penn looks to gain two more wins next Saturday when they travel to Williamstown and Amherst, Mass. to face Williams and Amherst at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
