PHILADELPHIA -Winners of their last three matches, the University of Pennsylvania women's squash team will look to continue it's success this Saturday against rival Princeton at the Ringe Squash Courts.
Princeton will make the trek to the City of Brotherly Love holding the No. 3 spot in the College Squash Association rankings. The Tigers sit at 5-1, with all of their matches decided by 9-0 scores. Their only loss of the season came at the hands of No. 1 Harvard on January 10.
Penn is the No. 2 team in the CSA rankings, with a 7-1 record, falling only to the Crimson. Since that loss, the Quakers have won three straight, including a 5-4 win in their last matcha against Trinity. The win was their first of the season that wasnt a shutout.
Penn has won the last two meetings with Princeton, claiming both matches, 6-3. The Quakers have not lost to the Tigers at the Ringe Courts since 2006, a span of four matches.
One of three All-Americans from last season, Marie Stephan has posted an 8-0 record this season. If that wasn't impressive enough, she hasn't lost an individual game this season, going 24-0. Stephan had to earn her unblemish record last Saturday, taking her final game 17-15.
The match is set for 2:30 p.m. and will follow the men's match that will begin at noon.
