Women's Squash Remains Perfect with 9-0 Wins Over Williams and Amherst

AMHERST, Mass. - The Penn women's squash team remains perfect this season after a likewise perfect day in Massachusetts. The Quakers defeated Williams College 9-0 early Saturday afternoon and then swept Amherst College in the nightcap. Penn has not dropped a single game in its past six matches as they improved to 9-0 overall, topping last year's eight game win streak to start the season.

The Red and Blue overpowered its competition, beginning with the Williams College Ephs. Gaining wins across the board, seven of the nine matches were won in just three games. After traveling across the state to Amherst, the Quakers made quick work of the Lord Jeffs, sweeping up every game.

Freshman Nabilla Ariffin held her own in the No. 1 position in both matches, winning 3-1 over Williams and 3-0 over Amherst. Junior Annie Madeira could not have played any more perfect as she swept her Amherst opponent and did give up a single point in three games. Sydney Scott, Rachael Goh, Yarden Odinak, Britt Hebden, Christina Matthias, and Pia Trikha all had a solid day and season thus far.

The Quakers are back in action next Saturday when they will be tested by No. 2 Trinity on the road.
