PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team cruised to a 9-0 victory over intrastate rival Franklin & Marshall Friday night at Ringe Courts.
The Quakers (2-0) did not a drop a game as everyone in the line-up was a 3-0 victor over their Diplomat (2-2) counterparts.
"They did welltonight," saidHead Coach Jack Wyant. "We talked about preparing meticulously forthe match, and they did that. A lot times when you're favored, you can play down to your opponent, and we didn't do that."
The Quakers' victory was highlighted by flawless victories from Tara Chawla and Alisha Turner at Nos. 2 and 3. Paula Pearson was a 3-0 winner at No. 1, while Lauralynn Drury, Meggie Kempner, Emily Goodwin, Elizabeth Kern, Chloe Wynne and Anita Sellers were all victors.
