Women's Squash Rolls Past Yale, 9-0

PHILADELPHIA -Coming off an 8-1 win over Brown on Saturday, the University of Pennsylvania women's squash team made it an undefeated weekend by beating Yale 9-0 on Sunday, avenging its loss at the 2015 CSA Championships.

Six of the nine players worked 3-0 wins, including Marie Stephan, who is now 11-0 this season and 33-0 in individual games. In all, Stephan is 29-0 in matches in her career as a Quaker.

Reeham Salah returned to the line-up after an off-day on Saturday and hammered out a 3-0 win in the top spot. Salah did not surrender more than five points in any game.

All-Americans Yan Xin Tan and Anaka Alankamony both worked quick shutout wins. Xin Tan won her final game 11-1.Michelle Wong and Haidi Lala both worked three-game wins as well.

Rowaida Attia, Grace van Arkel, and Camille Lanier needed five games to secure their points, but they did so in tight fashion.

van Arkel found herself down 2-1 in games, but bounced back to take the final two, needing 12 points to win the fourth game.

Lanier played a back and forth match that saw her close things out with a 13-11 final score.

Penn will be back at it on Friday against Columbia for its final home match of the season.
