PHILADELPHIA - Women's squash will return four juniors that each earned All-America status during their sophomore campaigns to a ladder that features eight returning starters. Rachael Goh (12-5 mostly at No. 2) picked up first-team All-America honors last season, while Nabilla Ariffin (9-9 primarily at No. 1), Yarden Odinak (14-3 mostly at No. 4), and Pia Trikha (16-2 at No. 5) all earned second-team All-America status after their runs in the 2011 College Squash Association Individual Championships.
The team will also return sophomores Courtney Jones (15-4 at mainly No. 6), Chloe Blacker (12-5 in all but one match at No. 8) and Hyland Murphy (8-6 playing all but once at No. 9). Junior Stephanie Vogel (8-5 splitting time between No. 6 and 7) rounds out the cast of returnees for the 2011-12 season.
The Quakers have also added five new freshmen to the women's squad in hopes of solidifying a lineup that finished the season ranked fifth in the nation and as high as fourth in the country at one point. Jack Wyant, who enters his seventh season coaching the women, recently sat down with the Penn Sports Network to talk about the returning players on his team and give an early update on how his team is preparing for the upcoming season.
