Women's Squash Sweeps Cornell, 9-0

PHILADELPHIA - The Penn women's squash team had little trouble in its regular-season opener on Saturday, defeating Cornell 9-0 at the Ringe Squash Courts.

The Quakers won six of the nine matches in three games, highlighted by Hyland Murphy who lost just nine points at the No. 9 spot and Annie Madeira who lost just 10 points at No. 4.

Nabilla Ariffin was at the top of the ladder and won in four games, while Yarden Odinak was forced to go five games in the No. 2 match but won the fifth game, 11-4.

Penn will be back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 1 when the Quakers make the trip to Franklin & Marshall for a 6 p.m. start.
