Women's Squash To Compete for Howe Cup

PHILADELPHIA - The Penn women's squash team will travel to Harvard this weekend to compete for the Howe Cup, the national championship of women's squash. The Quakers are seeded fifth in the eight-team field.

The Red and Blue will face archrival Princeton, the fourth seed, in the first round on Friday at 12:30 p.m.

In the other first-round match-ups, No. 1 Trinity faces No. 8 Williams, No. 3 Harvard battles No. 6 Dartmouth, and No. 2 Yale, the defending champion, meets No. 7 Brown.

The semifinals will continue on Saturday, with the final and consolation final taking place on Sunday. The Quakers will face either Trinity or Dartmouth on Saturday.

Last season, Penn fell in the first round to Trinity before defeating Brown in the consolation semifinal. The Quakers lost in the consolation final to Dartmouth.
