Though the result was never in question, the Penn women's swimming continued its domination of the Total Performance Invitational on Saturday night at the Kenyon Aquatic Center, claiming its fourth straight victory at the event. The Quakers tallied 1565 points over the three days, with second place Kenyon coming up over 400 points shy, ending with 1159.5.

An opening win in the 200 Medley Relay set the tone for the evening, with the Penn 'A' team of Lauren Church, Anne Maercklein, Taylor Sneed and Emily Baturka holding off Kenyon's 'A' team by .34, touching the wall in 1:44.66.

Penn continued to put its stamp on the invite in 500 Freestyle, won by Sydney Stinner in 4:52.69. She was just the first of seven Quakers to finish in the top 10 in the race; Annie McCotter came in second (4:52.78), while Kristi Edleson (4:55.84) and Bernadette D'Alonzo (4:57.34) finished third and fourth.

After two big nights on Thursday and Friday, Shelby Fortin didn't let up on Saturday. The junior got her first win of the evening in the 200 Backstroke, closing out in a time of 1:58.35 to set a new Penn record in the event. Church came in second at 2:03.11. She added another school record in the 100 Freestyle, touching the wall in 50.54 in Saturday's finals, erasing a record held by Kathryn Stores since 2003.

Katherine Ashenfelter won the final individual event of the invitational, finishing the 200 IM in 2:07.52. Megan Alexander came in second in the event in 2:08.03.

After an amazing night, Fortin's curtain call came in the 400 Freestyle Relay, and she didn't disappoint. Leading off Penn's 'A' team that included Baturka, Emma Siewert and Christina Hurley, Fortin blazed to a 50.39 in her opening leg, leading the team to a school-record time of 3:24.61 in the event and winning by nearly four full seconds.

Penn will return to action on Friday, hosting Columbia in a dual meet at Sheerr Pool at 4 p.m.
