Women's Swimming Heads to Harvard

PHILADELPHIA - The Quakers make the trek up to New England this weekend when they take on Harvard in their final Ivy dual meet on the season, Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The Red and Blue are coming off a split last weekend, losing to Yale and then beating Dartmouth. In that meet freshman Shelby Fortin earned a pair of victories, winning the 100-yard backstroke and also the 50-yard free. She also touched second in the 200-yard back. Junior Laura Klick had a pair of second-place finishes as the team totaled seven in the meet.

Harvard enters the weekend unbeaten in its four dual meets with their last victory coming against Brown, 198-97. In that meet the Crimson captured all but one event. Senior Kate Mills won a pair of events for Harvard, taking the 400-yard I.M. and the 100-yard fly. The team will also compete in the Rutgers Invitational Friday and Saturday before taking on the Red and Blue on Sunday.

Last year the Quakers lost to the Crimson by a 218-95 score. Sophomore Melissa Parratto captured Penn's lone individual victory in the meet, winning the 400-yard I.M. with her time of 4:32.21.
