Women's Swimming in Fourth Place at the Ivy League Championships

Princeton, N.J. - The University of Pennsylvania Women's swim team is in fourth place after the first day of competition at the Ivy League Championships. The team finished the day with a total of 267.50 points, almost 10 points ahead of their clostest competitor.

The Quakers opened the meet with a third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of Stephanie Colson, Jessica Aiello, Laura Hotaling and Katie Stores finished with a time of 1:34.15. In the 500-yard freestyle events,Cammie Villarreal and Margot Newcomer finished seventh and eigth in the championship finals. Stores had an impressive day, finishing sixth in the 50-yard freestyle, and adding to the team's fourth place finish in the 400-yard medley relay where Colson, Megan Carlin, Stores and Aiello finished with a time of 3:50.83.
