Women's Swimming Loses to Harvard 192-105

Cambridge, Mass. - The Quakers dropped their final Ivy League dual meet of the season on Sunday, losing to Harvard, 192-105, in Cambridge.

In a meet where both teams had a number of underclassmen swimming, the Red and Blue finished first in four different events and also had three individuals place second in their respective events. Freshman Shelby Fortin won the 500-yard free with her time of 4:57.70 and also touched second in the 200-yard free with a time of 1:52.55. Senior Naomi Delphin took third in the 200 free, swimming it in 1:54.57.

Junior Laura Klick was victorious in the 100-yard breast, touching in 1:05.59. Teammate Meghan Barron came in right behind her with a time of 1:07.56. In the 200-yard butterfly it was sophomore Melissa Parratto who came in first, followed by classmate Blair Webb in second. Parratto touched in 2:04.64 while Webb finished in 2:07.58.

Freshman Jacqui Snell set a personal best in the 3-meter diving event and her score of 252.00 put her in second. Senior Siobhan Carey scored 249.67 to finish behind her in third. Snell was also Penn's top diver in the 1-meter event, placing third overall with a career-best 247.13.

The Quakers to the pool on Friday evening when they host West Chester in their final home meet of the season. Swimming begins at 5 p.m.
