Women's Swimming Still in First at Kenyon

Kenyon, Ohio - Penn earned five top-two finishes to maintain its hold atop the standings at the Total Performance Invitational at Kenyon on Saturday.

The Quakers score of 779.5 though event 20 leads all teams, though host Kenyon is closing in with 720 points.

The Red and Blue got a first and second place finish from sophomore Melissa Parratto, who won the 400-yard I.M. in 4:26.11 and took second in the 200-yard fly (2:02.59). Senior Naomi Delphin finished fourth in the 200-yard fly (2:05.33)

Penn's other individual second place finish came from junior Laura Klick, who swam her 100-yard breaststroke in 1:04.38. Teammate Kelby Zimmerman was third in 1:04.76.

The Quakers' final second place finish came in the 400-yard Medley Relay, as the quartet of Katherine Ashenfelter, Klick, Delphin and freshman Shelby Fortin finished the event in 3:51.61.

The Quakers return to action on Saturday morning.
