PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Penn women's swimming team used five top ten finishes over the final two days to take ninth at the ECAC Championships held at the University of Pittsburgh.
The Quakers top performance came from sophomore Casey Barnes-Waychus, who finished fourth in the 1650 yard free, with her time of 17:23.33. Barnes-Waychus also served as the Red and Blue anchor in the 800 yard free relay. The quartet of freshman Tatiana McLaughlan, junior Genevieve Fleming, freshman Jennifer Dalmonte and Barnes-Waychus took 10th in the event with a time of 7:53. 51.
Junior Terren Niethamer earned a pair of seventh place finishes in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. Her score of 208.25 was just two points from fifth place in the 3-meter, while she had a score of 203.85 in the 1-meter.
Penn's final top ten performance over the final two days came from sophomore Jackie Hain, who finished 10th in the 200 yard breast, with her time of 2:22.07. Hain also took 15th in the 100 yard breast, touching in 1:06.84.
The ECAC's mark the end of the season for the Penn women's swimming team.
