Women's Tennis Dominates Old Dominion, 6-1

PHILADELPHIA – Playing its first home match in over a month, the University of Pennsylvania women’s tennis team defeated Old Dominion 6-1 on Saturday at Levy Tennis Pavilion.

Penn swept the doubles point from the Monarchs. Yulia Rivelis and Julia Koulbitskaya teamed up for the win at the No. 1 position. They are now tied for the team lead with three wins.

In singles, the Red and Blue continued to play well. They won all five matches in straight sets. In addition to Koulbitskaya and Rivelis, Alexis Plukas, Raluca Ciochina and Caroline Stanislawski won in both singles and doubles.

With the win, Pen improves to 6-4 on the season. The loss drops ODU to 10-6.

The Quakers will not be in action again until Saturday, Apr. 1 when they play at Princeton at noon to open Ivy League play.
