Women's Tennis Drops Match to Maryland, 5-2

PHILADELPHIA – The Penn women’s tennis team dropped a 5-2 match to Maryland on Sunday afternoon. The Quakers are now 1-4 after picking up their first win on Saturday versus George Washington.

The Terps started off the day with winning two of the doubles games to secure the doubles point. The Quakers took the No. 2 and No. 4 slots to prevent the sweep. Lauren Sadaka downed Michal Amir (6-4, 6-4) at No. 2, while Jacqueline Wong dropped the first set to Maggie Macheever, but battled back to win (1-6, 6-4, 10-6).

The Quakers are back on the court when they host cross-town rival Temple on Feb. 28 at 1 p.m.
