Women's Tennis Faces Rutgers on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – Fresh off its first win of the spring season, the University of Pennsylvania women’s tennis team is looking to continue to build upon that momentum when it faces Rutgers Sunday at 2 p.m. inside Levy Tennis Pavilion.

Penn (1-2, 0-0 Ivy) and Rutgers (2-0) will be facing off for the first time since the spring of 2000, and for the 13th time overall in dual competition. The Red and Blue hold a 10-2 advantage over the Scarlet Knights.

The Quakers are coming off a 6-1 victory that saw two wins in doubles play and five of six wins in singles play against Akron.

Penn was led by No. 1 Sol Eskenazi along with No. 2 Kana Daniel and No. 4 Jaime Yapp-Shing, who all won their singles and doubles matches. Senior Stephanie Do and junior Alex Ion added singles victories against the Zips.
