Women's Tennis Hosts Princeton in Ivy League Opener

PHILADELPHIA - The women's tennis team will host No. 48 Princeton on Saturday for both teams' league opener. The match is slated to start at noon at the Lott Tennis Courts, weather permitting, or the Levy Tennis pavilion, in the event of rain. Saturday's contest will be the first match since the Quakers' spring break trip to California where they went 0-4 to some of the best competition in the nation, including Fresno State's double team that is ranked first in the nation.

Princetonisalso recently back from its own trip to California where they went 2-2 with both losses coming to top-30 teams. Last season the Quakers defeated the Tigers, 5-2, in New Jersey. No. 103 Ekaterina Kosminskayaupset No. 70 Melissa Saiontz, 7-6, 6-4 at the No. 1 match.

The Quakers finished last season second in the conference to Yale and 2007 was the crowned the Ivy champions. The Red and Blue are poised to have the same succuss they have had in the most recent seasons starting with Saturday's match.
