PHILADELPHIA - Coming off its fourth consecutive win, the University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team has made its way into the No. 65 spot of the ITA rankings. This marks the first time the Quakers have been included in the rankings this season.
Penn has been on a great run of late, collecting four straight wins. The first of those four came against No. 57 Old Dominion, a match that saw the Quakers take a convincing 4-1 victory. Since then, they've have rattled off wins over Rutgers, Drexel, and Albany.
The Red and Blue have received great contributions throughout the ladder this season. Junior Kana Daniel has been a mainstay in the No. 1 spot, earning a 3-0 record. Freshman Marta Kowalska has also been impressive in her short time at Penn. The Polish import has won three of her four decisions to start the year while competing as the No. 3 and 4 for the Quakers.
Penn will try and make it five in a row this weekend when they host Maryland on Saturday at noon inside the Hecht Tennis Center.
